I Can Feel the City Breathing Primer

Dram Lamp by Propeller

The most common material in this is the recycled tumblers. There is also the metal circle holding the wire that holds the tumblers up.

I like this because its really gorgeous. The different colored tumblers reflect the light in different colors and it creates a warm effect. I also like it for the use of the glass because I feel that some repurposed art is so out there and I tend to drift more to things with traditional beauty. I feel that this would fall right into a home instead of being an awkward conversation piece.

Rooster Sculpture in Palisade, CO
I took this picture at a winery in Palisade, CO. I don't know who the artist is but I find this is a great example of repurposed art.

All of the objects on the rooster are some kind of metal and they range from chain links to scissors to gears to wrenches. I couldn't possibly write down everything that's on the rooster.

I like this because its very clean. It has a clear shape and you can tell its a rooster. Its also very imposing. This rooster is huge. Much taller than me and my parents. I like the choice of materials because everything is clearly definable. You can point out things in the rooster's construction. Its also very weather proof. :)

Aqua Rhinestone Bracelet by Heather Dean
Who says art isn't wearable? This piece is made nearly entirely of recycled jewelry. Its made up of metal (silver and gold), rhinestones in various colors, glass, beads, pearls, enamel,  and plastic.

I love this because its something close to my own heart and its verra pretty. I love crafting so when I saw this I was amazed. Its all reclaimed jewelry and parts. I love the choice of materials because all the colors compliment each other and the size and spacing of the charms makes it look even and balanced. Its eclectic mix of shapes, sizes, colors and designs  make it a very charming piece of jewelry.

Dead Star by Michel De Broin
This piece reminds me of a sea urchin shell. I believe all he used was batteries is various shapes, sizes, and brands. Everyone knows you can't throw them away but why not recycle them into a conversation piece?

I like this because its orderly and colorful and it reminds me of dead sea life. He varies the batteries size for visual interest. I like the materials used because its not something I see everyday. Its an aesthetically arresting piece simply because it is simple.

Sturegallerian by Anna Dolata
Now this one I really like. It reminds me of myself. It seems that the artist used shoes, brushes, caps, bottles, bags, film, bracelets, balls, fabric, ties, plastic, etc. I can't quite name everything else because the picture is kind of small.

I like this piece because it is a collage of interesting things. Shampoo bottles for instance. The many things here, while different share distinctive shape patterns and get their own space. I like the use of materials because its just a little bit of everything but the kitchen sink though you might be able to get that on there. XD
